We hold our meetings on the second Wednesday of every month at the Pride Center at Equality Park, 2040A North Dixie Highway, in Wilton Manors, Florida, 33305. When possible, we provide free pizza, soda and water beginning at 6:30 p.m., and our meeting starts at 7:00 p.m. OUR METHODS

Join us and help us to achieve our goals of a better America for everyone. When you become a member, you will have an information resource on important public policy issues that affect your future. Our meetings are open to all and provide a chance to interact and learn about political and legislative issues affecting you and the LGBT community. You will have the opportunity to meet with elected officials and political leaders, actively exchange ideas and perspectives, and educate them about the needs of our community. As a member, you will receive communications that provide you with up-to-date information on local, state, and national issues affecting the LGBT community. As an affiliated chapter of the National Stonewall Democrats, voting members of the Dolphin Democrats also receive automatic membership in America’s grassroots Democratic LGBT

MEMBERSHIP DETAILS
VOTING MEMBERSHIP is open to all registered Democrats in Broward County and confers the right to vote for the organization’s officers, bylaws amendments, and other matters put to the general membership for vote. This carries with it an obligation to attend those meetings, especially those when votes will be taken --- as the lack of a quorum could hamper the business of the organization. If you are not able to attend monthly meetings on a regular basis, please consider opting for “Associate Membership”. ASSOCIATE MEMBERSHIP is open to (a) other Democrats from outside Broward County; (b) Democrats who do not anticipate attending meetings on a regular basis; (c) individuals who reside in Broward County for all or part of the year and who are not eligible to register to vote; and (d) persons registered with no party affiliation who wish to identify with the Democratic Party. Associate members may participate in activities, serve on committees, and speak at meetings, but may not make motions, vote, or hold office. HOUSEHOLD MEMBERSHIP is available for two persons at the same address. The total cost of membership is reduced, as only one newsletter is mailed. COMMITTEE PARTICIPATION is encouraged for everyone, but is not required. Serving on committees allows members and associates to have direct, hands-on experience in influencing local and state affairs and furthering the goals of the organization. FLORIDA LGBTQ+ DEMOCRATIC CAUCUS
The Dolphin Democrats is a chapter of the Florida LGBTQ+ Democratic Caucus chartered by the Florida Democratic Party. As a Dolphin member, you automatically become a non-voting associate member of the state-wide Caucus. If you wish to be active in state-wide LGBTQ+ issues and become a voting member in the Caucus, please so indicate on the bottom on your Dolphin application.
