Friends of the Oakland Park Library Promoting the Friends of the Oakland Park Library and library events & services. ​​The Friends of the Ethel M. Gordon Oakland Park Library, Inc.

was originally established in 1994 as a nonprofit organization with the following objectives:

-To maintain an association of persons interested in our municipal library
-To focus public attention on library issues, services and programs
-To promote the library as a cultural and educational asset of our community
-To sponsor fund raising projects to enhance library services and resources beyond t

We’ve got a full month of programs for all ages! Here’s what’s happening:

🐾 Leashes for Literacy - Every 5th or Last Wednesday of the Month @ 10am
📖 Silent Book Club for Teens – Every Third Monday @ 4:30pm
💃 Spanish Heritage Month Storytime – September 22nd @ 6pm
🧘‍♀️ Breathwork Workshop (18+) – September 10 @ 11:30am
🎤 Teen Poetry Club – September 24 @ 6pm

Our popular Learn ABC, 123 & More! program returns on Friday, August 21!

Designed for children 6 and under, this bilingual program introduces letters, numbers, colors, shapes, and more through fun, interactive activities in English and Spanish.

🗓 Every Friday from 10:00–11:00 AM (except on holidays)
👧 Ages 6 & under
👥 Only 10 spots available

Join us for our brand-new Manga & Graphic Lounge—a weekly creative hangout where teens can draw, create comics, make zines, explore new art projects, and connect with others who share your interests.
