Things to do in June at Broward Parks 🌳

• Jun. 3: World Bike Day Group Ride at Kristin Jacobs at Hillsboro Pineland – 7-8PM
Celebrate World Bike Day with your local naturalists exploring nearby parks. We will bike to three different sites, walk the trails, and learn about how these areas were all once connected. Preregister at Webtrac.Broward.org.

10AM-4:30PM Weekdays, 10AM to 5PM Weekends/Holidays

• Jun. 5, 19, 20, 28: Naturalist-led Night Hikes – Time and locations vary
Experience nature's nightlife during a guided walk at one of Broward County's unique natural areas. Visit Broward.org/Parks for more info.

• Jun. 5: Step into Health – 11AM to Noon, Locations vary
Join a parks naturalist on an easygoing walk. This stroll is for anyone who is looking to ease back into physical activity outdoors. Come join a group of like-minded people taking their next steps to health. Visit Broward.org/Parks for more info.

• Jun. 6: National Trails Day at Fern Forest – Times vary
Boardwalk Tours of the Cypress Creek Boardwalk and Swamp Hikes along the wet and muddy Maple Walk Trail.

• Jun. 8 through Jul. 31: Kids Summer Program at Neighborhood Parks – 8AM-6PM
Free. Space is limited. Register at your neighborhood park. For more information visit Broward.org/Parks.

• Jun. 8-12, 22-26: Trailblazers Horse Camp at Tradewinds Park – 8:30AM-3:30PM
Campers will ride horses and learn different aspects of horsemanship and farm animal care. Maximum 12 campers. Beginners welcome! Preregistration is required at Webtrac.Broward.org.

• Jun. 12: Teen Night at Lafayette Hart Park – 4-9PM
Ages 12 to 17 are invited to join us for a free Teen Night. Activities will include games, Karaoke, discussions, field trips, and more.

• Jun. 13: World Oceans Day – 10AM-1PM
Join the Marine Environmental Education Center (MEEC) and learn how local organizations are helping ocean ecosystems year-round, stop by food trucks to grab a bite, and head down to the beach to plant in a dune system!

• Jun. 20: Broward Beekeepers Open House at Tradewinds Park – 10AM to Noon
Get up close and personal on the innerworkings of beehives along with displays of beekeeping equipment.

• Jun. 21: Mangrove Adventure Hikes at Anne Kolb Nature Center – 10:30AM-3PM
Join us for a guided hike down one of our trails to learn about some of the species that call this special habitat home. Register at Webtrac.Broward.org.

Before there’s honey on the shelf, there’s nonstop work inside the hive. In Broward County parks, thousands of bees are buzzing around the clock — and local beekeepers are working to protect them while giving the public a closer look inside the hive.

• May 1, 15, 31: Naturalist-led Night Hikes – Time and locations vary
Experience nature's nightlife during a guided walk at one of Broward County's unique natural areas. Visit Broward.org/Parks for more info.

• May 2: Kids Zone Activity Area at Anne Kolb Nature Center – 10:30AM-12:30PM
Stop by for some fun for the little ones with games, puzzles, books, and coloring/worksheets then take a walk on one of our trails.

• May 2: Pony Trails at Tradewinds Park – Times Vary
Youth will learn about horsemanship, will help groom a horse, and then go on a pony ride through a small portion of our trails. One guardian is required to attend with each respective child, each session has a max of 5 participants. Call the park at 954-357-8870.

• May 2: Painting at Parks at Kristin Jacobs Natural Area –- 1:30-2:30PM
Enjoy a relaxed afternoon dedicated to embracing your creativity in nature. Crayons, colored pencils, tempera paint, or watercolor are available for use. Coloring pages will also be available. Register at Webtrac.Broward.org.

For adults & teens 16+ with developmental disabilities. Preregistration required. Call 954-357-8170 or email [email protected].

• May 23: Endangered Species & Biodiversity Event at Anne Kolb Nature Center – Noon-3PM
Learn about endangered and threatened animals, with information about the issues that impact them, why they are protected, and suggestions on ways to help. There will also be themed crafts and games for children.
