There was an incident on I-580 near Hacienda where all lanes except the express lane were closed. Alameda CTC will take care of the tolls so those forced into the express lane due to the incident will not get charged. For additional information, please contact Alameda CTC.

Lanes By the Numbers:

We will keep you posted on construction updates.
Construction of a new I-680 Northbound Sunol Express Lane will begin in early 2018. This first phase of the project will widen the existing freeway and construct a new ~9-mile express lane and associated improvements on northbound I-680 between Auto Mall Parkway and SR-84 in Alameda County, providing congestion relief in the corridor. The project also includes upgrades to the adjacent southbound I-680 Sunol Express Lane, modifying the access configuration from controlled access to a near continuous access configuration, similar to that on the I-580 Express Lane corridor through the Tri-Valley.
