Oakland African American Chamber of Commerce - OAACC

Oakland African American Chamber of Commerce - OAACC We are a private non-profit organization committed to helping you promote, sustain, and grow your business.
WE SUPPORT OAKLAND BUSINESSES! As a member of the Oakland African American Chamber of Commerce, you have a partner that is committed to helping you promote, sustain, and grow your business. We accomplish this in two ways: (1) We provide you with programs, services, and resources that you can put to direct use in making your company more successful. (2) We work hard to create a strong economic environment—one in which all businesses, and especially minority businesses, can thrive and prosper. Here is what you gain when you invest in an OAACC membership: ADVOCACY/PUBLIC POLICY: Have access to decision-makers and make your voice heard as OAACC works to influence public policy on issues and initiatives that impact your business. EDUCATION: Sharpen your competitive edge by enrolling in OAACC’s classes, workshops, and seminars, designed to enable entrepreneurs to build their skills and grow their businesses. INFORMATION: Learn about developments in the business world that affect you through our news updates. Use the OAACC website to connect with a wealth of up-to-date information and member resources that can benefit your business. TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE: Get hands-on help that can lead to improvements in your operations and set the stage for your business to prosper. NETWORKING: Make contacts by attending OAACC’s networking events, and build valuable relationships with colleagues, clients, and customers. MARKETING AND PROMOTION: Promote your business through such vehicles as the OAACC website and advertising opportunities on KICU-TV36 and the KTVU.com website. BUSINESS AND PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT: Take advantage of referrals, procurement information, and other business expansion opportunities that OAACC promotes exclusively for its members.

OAACC was established in 2003. We are a private non-profit organization whose mission is to advance economic opportunity and create a favorable business environment by supporting, promoting and advocating for African American businesses. OAACC accomplishes its mission to incubate and accelerate economic viability for small businesses in and for the City of Oakland, and its surrounding areas, in three ways: Advocacy: Providing professional, inclusive, and relevant advocacy for minority-owned businesses in the Oakland Bay Area. Community & Economic Development: Empowering communities of color and underrepresented and low-income communities by connecting them with employment and education opportunities. Partnering in Prosperity: Collaborating with large corporations, government agencies, educational institutions and community and faith-based organizations to promote the creation of a strong economic environment that supports mutually beneficial and fair outcomes that sustains long business and community well-being.

Mission: To advance economic opportunity and create a favorable business environment by supporting, promoting and advocating for African American businesses.
