It’s a great day to get out on the bay!

The San Francisco Bay Trail welcomes hikers, joggers, bicyclists, skaters and wheelchair users to more than 350 miles of trails that circle the bay, and you can access the SFB Trail from Jack London Square!

The Bay Trail provides easily accessible recreational opportunities for outdoor enthusiasts, including hikers, joggers, bicyclists and skaters. It also offers a setting for wildlife viewing and environmental education, and it increases public respect and appreciation for the Bay.

Tomorrow, May 14, is Bike to Wherever Day, the Bay Area's biggest day for bicycling!

On this day, more than 20,000 East Bay residents will pedal to visit the 100+ Energizer Stations across the city. Bikers can grab goodies at each stop to celebrate the joy of biking, well, everywhere!

April 20 through May 9, the Gratitude Gallery will offer a space for the Oakland community to share stories of kindness and personal expressions of gratitude that highlight empathy, understanding and shared human connection.
