This weekend our Housing & Community Services Department celebrated the diverse journeys and successes of our reentry community. Often the reentry experiences can be very isolating as people leave their support networks and step into a world that has been moving and evolving without them. Getting back to the basics of community and nature we were able to celebrate first like new foods, feeling the sand between the toes, and new jobs. The day ended with an impromptu assembly line as people packaged up over 70 food bags for our Community Mediator team to pass out to the unhoused. Like the food bags say "We are Stonger Together".
