Thankful to Governor Newsom for issuing the Executive Order to extend business property filing to all businesses in CA & Alameda County to June 1 without penalty.
Thus, the Alameda County Assessor's Office will accept Business Personal Property (BPP) Statement filings (Form 571L) up to June 1st, 2020 as timely filed. We are currently accepting properly signed BPP statements that are scanned and attached to an email. These can be sent to [email protected]. Businesses can also mail in their filings at any time or file electronically – click here for more information: https://www.acgov.org/assessor/bpp/property-statement.htm.
In addition, the Governor’s Executive Order also suspends penalties, costs, or interest on late property tax payments for residential real property occupied by the taxpayer, or real property owned and operated by a taxpayer that qualifies as a small business provided certain conditions are met.
