☀️ Intern Spotlight: Angel Gama

This summer, Angel is interning with Argent before beginning his next chapter at UC Santa Cruz, where he’ll major in business. He’s also following in the footsteps of his dad, Rafa, a valued member of the Argent team.

Angel hopes to strengthen his work ethic and learn firsthand what it means to be a hardworking employee—experience he believes will help him become a better leader one day.

What stands out most to Angel about Argent is the way the company cares for its employees while making a positive impact on the industry and the surrounding community. We’re glad to have him learning, contributing and working alongside us this summer!

And a word of advice: don’t challenge Angel to a one-on-one game of basketball. 🏀

Argent Materials is proud to support the NSPRA 50+ Senior Rodeo in Santa Rosa! 🤠

Former world champion Savvas Halikas and Brenda Reay put an incredible amount of work into making these events possible. They raise the stock, provide the prizes and prepare the entire event center—located right on the Halikas property!

We’re honored to support their dedication to keeping the rodeo tradition alive and creating a place where senior competitors can continue doing what they love.

The next round of rodeos takes place September 4-6th in Santa Rosa. Best of luck to everyone competing!

🌶️ We had a great time competing in the 2026 UCON Annual BBQ & Chili Cook-Off at the Alameda County Fairgrounds! It was an evening full of great food, friendly competition, and even better company.

The Argent Chili Crushers had a blast competing alongside so many great teams. We’re especially proud of our Sales Lead, Will Murphy, who served as this year’s event chair.

Thanks to United Contractors (UCON) for hosting another fantastic event. We can’t wait for next year! 👏💚

Please join us in congratulating our Wash Plant Manager, María Alejandra Mendoza, on becoming a United States citizen! 🇺🇸

Originally from Colombia, Alejandra came to the United States in 2019 after earning her degree in Environmental Engineering, with plans to improve her English and continue her education in Project Management. While the pandemic unexpectedly kept her from returning home for three years, she turned that challenge into an opportunity for personal growth. Today, she continues to grow professionally at Argent, embracing every opportunity to learn while striving each day to become the best version of herself.

When we asked Alejandra how it feels to become a U.S. citizen, she said, “I’m simply grateful to be part of this country and to have the opportunity to contribute to its society.”

Congratulations, Alejandra! We are proud to have you on the Argent team and excited to celebrate this incredible milestone with you! 🇺🇸🎉
