Hello,
My 1st grader will be attending in the fall I am trying to see how early children can be dropped off? Is there before Care? Is there a window of time before school starts for transition and drop off? Thanks!!!

Hello!
I’m excited to share that a Buy Nothing Project group has recently formed in the area I live in Oakland, which is generally the School/Patten/Peralta neighborhoods.
The Buy Nothing Project is a global movement to connect real life neighbors through shared resources and acts of kindness.
This worldwide network of hyper-local gift economies is dedicated to random acts of kindness. Neighbors share furniture, soup, decor, kitchen appliances, tools, clocks, compost, books, and nearly anything you can think of. Neighbors also give "gifts of self" such as a ride to the airport, walking dogs, babysitting, caring for plants, or picking up medicine.
Here is the link to join. You must live within the boundaries of Fruitvale, 35th Ave, 580 freeway, and Foothill Blvd in Oakland to join this group (but there are many groups in Oakland!). Please make sure to answer all 3 questions for quick acceptance to the group. Happy gifting!

If you are unfamiliar with what the Buy Nothing Project is all about, please see here (and this is also where you can find a group in your own neighborhood if you don’t live in the boundaries I described):
