Oakland First Aid Squad

Oakland First Aid Squad John Robert Walker Memorial Oakland First Aid Squad. A Volunteer ambulance corps serving Oakland. Oakland First Aid Squad was founded in 1954.

Since its inception we have been providing Emergency care and transport for the residents of Oakland 24/7 free of charge. Our membership consists of your neighbors, friends, daughters, sons, moms, dads. We volunteer our time to come to your assistance in an emergency. We have our business meeting the first monday of every month and a training meeting the third monday of every month. In addition to

emergency response we also provide CPR instruction to the Fire Dept and Police Dept and other organizations in town. We provide tours and first aid demonstrations to our local boy and girl scout troops. We provide mutual aid to our surrounding towns. We provide Emergency Medical Coverage during our town events such as the town carnival and the Memorial Day Parade. We provide, rehab for our Fire Dept when they are battling a fire. As volunteers we are also residents and members of this community and as such have a strong level of caring and dedication. Thank you to all who have supported us and for all continued support!

🚨 NJ Volunteer EMS Is At Risk 🚨

Senate Bill S1421 could threaten volunteer first aid squads across New Jersey by pushing towns toward paid EMS systems and adding new municipal control over BLS services.

Volunteer EMTs save taxpayers millions while serving our communities 24/7 — for free.

If this bill moves forward, many volunteer squads may not survive.
