Our mission is to strengthen communities throughout Asia by building trusted networks for charitable investment. We envision healthy and prosperous communities supported by an expanded flow of philanthropy and locally-led development. Our work focuses on key issues such as healthcare, the environment, disaster preparedness and relief, and poverty alleviation. We believe that local knowledge counts: Give2Asia has a team of local staff, in-country advisors, and partners in every country where we work, ensuring projects are effective, results are transparent, and grant recipients are accountable. As part of Give2Asia's 25th anniversary, we're looking back at the milestones, partnerships, and moments that shaped our journey. This week, we revisit 2022, the first full year of the Myriad Alliance.

Six entities of Give2Asia and the King Baudouin Foundation collaborated through the Alliance as a global network for cross-border philanthropy, connecting donors with charitable causes around the world.

Give2Asia also partnered with Asia Philanthropy Circle, the King Baudouin Foundation, and Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation on Unlocking Cross-Border Philanthropy in Asia, a landmark study examining donor interest and philanthropic infrastructure across 15 economies. The research identified regulatory barriers and infrastructure gaps limiting cross-border giving, while highlighting opportunities to strengthen Asia-led philanthropy across the region.

As part of Give2Asia's 25th anniversary, we're looking back at the milestones, partnerships, and moments that shaped our journey. This week, we revisit 2021, when Give2Asia launched new programs in China.

Give2Asia established programs alongside local charity partners: Tomorrow-iCAN, supporting students from underserved communities on their path to higher education, and the Rural Doctors TCM Training Program, helping rural physicians strengthen their Traditional Chinese Medicine knowledge and skills.

Give2Asia also launched DisasterLink, an Asia-wide network of local, pre-vetted emergency relief and recovery organizations able to receive support from Give2Asia on Day 1 of a disaster.

As part of Give2Asia's 25th anniversary, we're looking back at the milestones, partnerships, and moments that shaped our journey. This week, we revisit 2020, when Give2Asia mobilized its local expertise and partner network in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

From the earliest days of the outbreak in China, Give2Asia worked with donors and local partners to address urgent needs—delivering 400,000 masks and more than 3,000 care packages to workers and laboratory staff at 17 public hospitals. As the crisis spread, Give2Asia applied lessons from its early response in China to support communities across Asia.

The largest humanitarian effort in Give2Asia’s history, with US$27 million granted to 168 organizations across 23 countries, we reached an estimated 21 million people.

That year, Give2Asia also launched the Hero’s Legacy Program, raising nearly US$3 million to provide long-term educational, psychosocial, and developmental support for 163 children in China who lost a parent serving on the frontlines of the pandemic.

As part of Give2Asia's 25th anniversary, we're looking back at the milestones, partnerships, and moments that shaped our journey. This week, we revisit 2019, as new global partnerships began to take shape.

Give2Asia and the King Baudouin Foundation in Belgium began exploring opportunities for deeper collaboration, starting a relationship that would ultimately help lay the groundwork for a more globally connected approach to cross-border philanthropy.

That same year, Give2Asia brought its global staff and advisors together in Bangkok for the organization’s first all-staff offsite—an important milestone for a growing international team.

As part of Give2Asia's 25th anniversary, we're looking back at the milestones, partnerships, and moments that shaped our journey. This week, we revisit 2018, when Give2Asia continued to scale its presence and operations in China.

Following the successful registration of its China Representative Office the year before, Give2Asia expanded its mainland China-based team to eight people in response to growing donor partnerships and demand for its services.

That growth was reflected across the organization: annual revenues exceeded US$3 million for the first time, driven in no small part by Give2Asia’s work in China.

As part of Give2Asia's 25th anniversary, we're looking back at the milestones, partnerships, and moments that shaped our journey. This week, we revisit 2017, a landmark year for Give2Asia’s work in China.

Give2Asia officially registered its China Representative Office under the country’s new Overseas NGO law, with the support of the Chinese People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries (CPAFFC), which became Give2Asia’s Professional Supervisory Unit.

The milestone established a new foundation for Give2Asia’s long-term presence and operations in China following years of investment in local expertise, partnerships, and capacity.

As part of Give2Asia's 25th anniversary, we're looking back at the milestones, partnerships, and moments that shaped our journey.

This week, we revisit 2016, when Give2Asia invested in strengthening its long-term presence and capabilities in China.

As China’s regulatory environment for overseas nonprofits was changing, Give2Asia received general operating support from the Ford Foundation to help maintain its operations during the registration transition. With this support and guidance from expert partners in China, Give2Asia continued building the local knowledge, relationships, and capabilities needed for its work in the country.

Those investments helped lay the groundwork for an important milestone the following year.

A catastrophic flash flood and mudslide has devastated communities on both sides of the China–Nepal border.

The August 26 disaster caused widespread destruction across northern Nepal and the Gyirong Port area in China’s Xizang Autonomous Region, damaging homes and critical infrastructure and disrupting roads, power and communications.

Give2Asia and Give2Asia Hong Kong SAR are working with trusted local partners to support relief and recovery in affected communities.
