Our esteemed colleagues at The Beautiful Foundation 아름다운재단 recently published a Korean translation of the "Unlocking Cross-border Philanthropy in Asia" report. We are grateful for their efforts to make the report's findings widely available to Korean funders, policy-makers, and NGOs.

The report was produced in collaboration with King Baudouin Foundation and Asia Philanthropy Circle. Its findings reflect interviews with 150 high-net-worth donors/institutions and survey responses from 135 nonprofits.

Goducate partners with Give2Asia to reach Australian donors, improve food security for at-risk children

Even before the pandemic hit, 29% of Filipino children under age 5 experienced malnutrition. One of the NGOs working to change this is Singapore-based Goducate, which is providing hot, nutritious meals to at-risk children in the .

However, the charity's food security goals cannot be achieved without support from overseas donors. To reach supporters outside their home country, Goducate partnered with Give2Asia Australia. Our esteemed partner, Japan NPO Center, has published a Japanese translation of the "Unlocking Cross-border Philanthropy in Asia" report. We are grateful for their efforts to make the report's findings widely available in one of Asia's key philanthropy markets.

The Philanthropy Australia National Conference 2022 is fast approaching next week on Tuesday 6th September to Thursday 8th September 2022!

AIDN is hosting its own plenary session: ‘Beyond Our Shores’ at the conference on Thursday 8 September (Conference Day 2).

Moderated by Simon Lewis, Chair of AIDN, our expert panel featuring Birger Stamperdahl, Kevin Starr, Dr Salmah Eva-Lina L., Robyn King and Danny Wu will discuss why leading foundations are moving to international giving and how emerging philanthropists are innovatively addressing the SDGs today.

The major issues of our time are increasingly global in nature. AIDN believes it is high time that we use an international lens to mobilise capital in order to address international issues.
