The Alameda County Transportation Commission (Alameda CTC) is gathering input for the East Bay Greenway (EBGW) Multimodal Project! These are the scheduled events for the Ashland/Cherryland area and for the City of Hayward:
ASHLAND/CHERRYLAND
- Castro Valley Farmers Market: August 6, 9 a.m.-1 p.m.
- REACH Ashland Youth Center, Health, and Resource Fair: August 10, 12:30-4 p.m.
- Bayfair Farmers Market: August 13, 9 a.m.-1 p.m.
HAYWARD
- Hayward Public Library: August 11, 1-5 p.m.
- Hayward Farmers Market: August 27, 9 a.m.-1 p.m.
- South Hayward BART Station: August 30, 4-7 p.m.
The EBGW Multimodal Project (https://www.alamedactc.org/programs-projects/bicycle-and-pedestrian/eastbaygreenway/) proposes to construct a 16-mile-long active transportation street project from the Lake Merritt BART station in Oakland to the South Hayward BART station. This phase of the project is focused on completing near-term improvements in a three to five-year time span that will result in new bike facilities, transit infrastructure improvements, roadway safety enhancements, and creation of community areas along the street corridor.
We look forward to seeing you over the next couple of months and hearing your thoughts on how to improve bicycle, pedestrian, and transit accessibility and safety in Ashland/Cherryland and Hayward!
