Hello, please have all your Tribal Members, Family, and Supporters call Now.

☎️❗️MAKE 2 CALLS!❗️☎️

1. Call Aguiar- Curry here 916-319-2004 and state strong OPPOSITION to AB 52!

2. Assemblymember Isaac Bryan, Chair of Natural Resources.

Call Chair Bryan today: (916) 319-2055 or LA Office (310) 641-5410
“Hi, my name is [Your Name], and I’m calling to urge Chair Bryan to oppose the amendments to AB 52.
We deeply respect Chair Bryan’s leadership and his commitment to justice — and that’s why we’re asking him to stand with all California Tribal Nations, including non-federally recognized Tribes, who are facing a devastating attack on their rights through these amendments.
These amendments:
* Strip non-federally recognized Tribes of their government-to-government consultation rights.
* Reduce their role to mere participants, without real decision-making power.
* Undermine their sovereignty and their sacred relationship to the land and ancestors.
This bill is not a cleanup — it’s a cover-up. It divides our communities and furthers spiritual and legislative violence against non-federally recognized Tribes.”

📊 Over 10,000 youth were placed on wardship probation in California in 2023.
⚠️ 86% were youth of color.

This isn’t justice — it’s a system that overwhelmingly impacts Black, Latino, Asian, and Indigenous youth.

It’s time to rethink probation in California.

On Saturday our Dream Beyond Bars Fellow, Bryan, hosted a spanish seminar on the Prison Industrial Complex for our spanish speaking community. Part of Bryan’s Passion Project is educating the spanish speaking community about the effects of incarceration in our community and the business of incarceration.

Thank you for all who joined us, we look forward to continuing to build the knowledge in our communities across languages and cultures.

AB 52 (2025-2026) appears to strengthen tribal cultural protections on paper — but in practice, it:
• Excludes many California Indian tribes.
• Prioritizes development over sacred places.
• Allows agencies to check boxes rather than guarantee protection.
• Preserves colonial hierarchies between federally recognized and non-recognized tribes.

True Indigenous-led protections would require:
• Equal standing for all California Indian tribes.
• Mandatory tribal consent before any development affecting sacred places.
• Real enforcement mechanisms when consultation is ignored or abused.
• Guaranteed protection and avoidance of desecration, not just “good faith” efforts.

Adding to the devastation, will leave thousands of California Indian ancestors trapped on museum and university shelves. AB 275 (Ramos, 2020) protected them — abandons them. Our ancestors deserve honor, not betrayal.

1. Cecilia Aguiar-Curry is sponsoring a bill that erases California Tribes.AB 52 is genocidal policy—plain and simple. In the middle of a national assault on Tribal sovereignty, she’s choosing to side with colonizers. This is Trump-style violence wearing a blue badge.
2. [Shame + Hypocrisy]How dare Cecilia Aguiar-Curry claim to be a Democrat while pushing a bill that strips rights from California Tribal Nations?AB 52 would exclude 70+ Tribal Nations from sacred site protections. She’s no different from Trump—just in blue. This is California’s genocide, continued.
3. [Exposing the Agenda]Cecilia Aguiar-Curry wants to tell us which Tribes count and which don’t.That’s not leadership—it’s settler supremacy. Her bill AB 52 is an act of genocide, disguised as “streamlining.”Don’t let her Trump up California law.
4. [For Allies + Moral Framing]While the federal government guts Tribal sovereignty, Cecilia Aguiar-Curry is doing the same thing right here in California.AB 52 mirrors Trump’s anti-Indigenous attacks.Exclusion. Erasure. Elimination. We expect better from California.Cecilia should be ashamed.
5. [Bold, For Reels or TikTok Caption]📣 Let’s call it what it is:Cecilia Aguiar-Curry is trying to erase California Indian Peoples.AB 52 removes sacred site protections, silences 70+ Tribal Nations, and rewrites history. That’s colonialism. That’s genocide. That’s Trump energy.California—FIGHT BACK.

🌿 Community Peace Team VI’s Life Coaching Adventure 🌄

Last Friday, we explored the breathtaking Oakland Hills with our amazing young people! 🌞 We took in the stunning views, hiked through nature, and shared a day of connection with Mother Nature. 🍃

Spring break is all about getting outside, soaking up the beautiful weather, and discovering the hidden gems of our Town. 🌳 🌻 It’s not just about the hikes, but about showing our youth the beauty and power of nature here. 🌱 And you don’t have to go to far for it.

Let’s keep exploring, learning, and growing together! 💚

🌱✨ Spring Break Clean-Up Day at the Fruitvale Community Garden 🌸🌞

Today, our Violence Interruptors and Life Coaching team came together to host an epic Spring Break Clean-Up Day in the heart of the Fruitvale community East Oakland. With high schools out on Spring break we kept the youth engaged and connected to nature by getting them outdoors, ready to plant and prep the garden for the upcoming seasons. 🌻🌷

Big thanks to everyone who came out, stoked up the energy, and put in work to make the garden shine! This is how we build stronger communities, together. 💪

Let’s get ready for a bountiful spring and summer ahead! 🌿💚
