Grass Valley Elementary School is located in the lovely Grass Valley neighborhood in the hills above the Oakland Zoo. Grass Valley School is quietly innovating in all academic areas. We have launched a successful Balanced Literacy program where all children are reading good-fit books at their appropriate reading level. We have incorporated Blended Learning and centers into our Math program to indi

vidualize student access to curriculum. We have a brand new MakerSpace, the Wonder Workshop, opening on November 15 and most of our classes participate in Project Based/Maker Education. On campus, students can enjoy our large outdoor play area which includes: 3 play structures, outdoor classroom space, garden beds, basketball courts, and four square. We also have an upper field with an area to run track, play basketball, and grass that is great for soccer, football, or just being a kid!

It's that time of year (already!)...time to start ENROLLMENT for 25/26!

We will be offering tours in person and virtually, at a range of times. Tours will be led by students leaders from our very own 4th and 5th grades.

GV students in TK-4th grade are NOT required to complete the enrollment process, as we hope you will stay here at GV for 25/26.

Please be sure to screenshot this flyer and share it with any families you know who may be interested in joining us at Grass Valley!

***If every GV family recruited 1 MORE FAMILY, we would double our enrollment over night! Increasing enrollment is how we KEEP OUR DOORS OPEN.***
