Earlier today, Monday November 15th, 2021, members of the Upper Providence Township Police Association met with Loretta Stever at the Daily Bread Community Food Pantry and Jennifer Kuklentz at Spring-Ford Project Outreach. We are proud to play a part in the support of families in need in our community that each of these organizations provide. The Upper Providence Township Police Association donated a check for $1,200.00 to each organization. We understand that this time of year can be present financial hardships for many families in our community. We hope these contributions bring some financial ease to families that utilize these great organizations. The Upper Providence Township Police Association will continue to offer our support to both organizations. Their hard work and dedication to providing support to our community is greatly appreciated and deservers commendation.

The final numbers are in. For the first time ever, members of the Upper Providence Township Police Department had the opportunity to participate in “No Shave November” last month. This was made possible by the Chief of Police, Mark Toomey, who amended departmental policy so officers could participate. We are thankful for this moment and opportunity to contribute to research. A total of $1,000.00 will be donated to Prostate Cancer Foundation (www.pfc.org).
