Completing the Rick and Jane Schwartz Performing Arts Wing and the renovations to the Oakwood Auditorium were monumental undertakings and we are so happy to share our success with the community ♥

We are incredibly grateful to Kevin Jones for his two years of dedicated service as Chair of the Oakwood Schools Foundation Board.

Under Kevin’s leadership, the Foundation has continued to strengthen its mission of supporting Oakwood Schools and investing in the students, educators, and programs that make our schools exceptional.

We are thrilled that Kevin’s service to the Foundation will continue in a new and meaningful role as our first Legacy Trustee—a permanent seat on the Board of Trustees.

The Legacy Trustee role was created to preserve and share the Foundation’s institutional history, organizational knowledge, and valuable context, while also providing ongoing support for donor engagement and development.

Thank you, Kevin, for your leadership, wisdom, and commitment to the Oakwood Schools community. We are so fortunate that your service and perspective will remain an enduring part of the Foundation’s future!

We’re excited to share a new community initiative—Oakwood Football Legends! This growing group of alumni, families, coaches, fans, and supporters is dedicated to celebrating the tradition of Oakwood Football while investing in its future.

Congrats to OHS teacher Ryan Connelly on being awarded the 2026 Parker Love of Teaching and Lifelong Learning Award! Ryan was presented the award by longtime Oakwood School teacher Bev Parker in a surprise ceremony at OHS this afternoon.

A huge “thank you” to all who took time to nominate a teacher this year and to Director of Curriculum Jenna Hill and Principals Matt Salyer and Tim Badenhop for helping make this surprise super special!

As part of this year’s That Day in May festivities, we’re thrilled to invite you to the annual Oakwood High School Alumni Baseball Game and Social, hosted by the Oakwood Dugout Club.

Join us on Saturday, May 16, from 4:00–6:00 pm at the OHS baseball field next to Mack Hummon Stadium for an afternoon packed with big hits, great laughs, and hometown pride. Whether you played baseball, cheered from the stands, or simply want to catch up with fellow alumni, there’s a place for you at this special event.

Haven’t picked up a bat in decades? Perfect. Your presence and stories are what make this event meaningful!

Oakwood High School’s Ax Media Students are excited to continue their campaign to raise $2,800 to cover this year's Student Television Network Conference and Competition entrance fees this March!

After winning the top prize at the JEA/NSPA conference last year, students are dedicated and determined to take on the competition at the next level—a video-only media conference. Students will compete with the best programs in the country and also meet with industry leading professionals while getting to network with colleges.
