ICYMI: The online system for reserving campsites and shelters at Illinois state parks and historic sites will transition to an updated and more user-friendly platform beginning Friday, May 1.

To accommodate the transition, electronic reservations will be unavailable April 27-30. Customers will still be able to make walk-up reservations at campgrounds as availability allows during these dates.

Users will continue to use exploremoreil.com – the customer service platform of the Illinois Department of Natural Resources – to make reservations after the transition. Reservations made prior to April 27 will automatically migrate to the new platform; customers will be required to use the same email to access them. All customers will need to create a new account and password in the new system.

Thank you for your patience during the transition, and we look forward to welcoming you this summer.

Just a reminder, this weekend begins site closures for turkey hunting in the open hunting areas. Non permitted hunters please stay out of these areas until 1:00 pm. Violators of this rule can be reported at the link below or contact a local conservation officer and provide a vehicle license plate and description of the individual.

PSA: Kickapoo Road Closure from Clear Lake to the top of the hill at the Campground from March 23-27th for tree cutting. Traffic will be routed around the I74 loop.
