🏡✨ BIG NEWS FOR DECATUR COUNTY! ✨🏡

The EDC & Chamber Office will be CLOSED August 24th–26th as we head to the 2026 Kansas Housing Conference! 🎉

And we have something EXTRA exciting to share…

🏆 WE RECEIVED THE FRIEND OF AFFORDABLE HOUSING SCHOLARSHIP! 🏆

Only THREE scholarships were awarded for this incredible opportunity, and we are thrilled to be one of the recipients! 🙌

Thanks to the amazing partnership and support from the City of Oberlin and Pioneer Country Development, we were able to secure the additional funding needed to attend this conference.

We’re headed to the conference ready to LEARN, CONNECT, and BRING HOME VALUABLE INFORMATION, RESOURCES & NEW IDEAS to help strengthen housing opportunities right here in Decatur County! 🏠💪

This is exactly the kind of opportunity that helps us continue moving our community FORWARD! 🚀

📚 Learning, Connecting & Bringing Ideas Home! 🌱

The Oberlin-Decatur County Area Economic Development Corporation recently had the opportunity to attend the Network Kansas KEYS Conference, and we’re home with plenty of new ideas, connections, and inspiration!

One of the most valuable parts of the conference was connecting with economic development professionals, entrepreneurs, and E-Community representatives from across Kansas. Sharing what’s working in our communities, learning from one another, and talking through challenges is a great reminder of just how strong our statewide network is. 🤝

We’re grateful to Network Kansas for the opportunity to participate in this conference!

There is always something new to learn, but some of the most valuable takeaways come from the conversations and relationships built along the way. We’re excited to bring these ideas, resources, and connections back to Decatur County as we continue working to support our entrepreneurs, businesses, workforce, and community.
