ATTENTION: Oakdale & Kinder Area Residents

Vance Brothers, LLC, a contractor hired by the Allen Parish Police Jury, will begin pavement preservation work on April 20th, 2026. Work will be performed on Nielson Road, Guillory Road, N. Blacktop Extension, Wright Road, and White Road, starting in the Oakdale area before moving to the Kinder area. During construction, travel will be limited to one lane with a pilot car provided to navigate through work zones. Please use caution when traveling through these areas over the next 2-3 weeks. Attention Allen Parish Residents:

Road Construction will be on the following roads Saturday April 18 and Monday April 20.

North Blacktop Ext. Oakdale
White Rd. Oakdale
Wright Rd. Oakdale
Blue Bush Rd. Oakdale

There will be NO ROAD CLOSURES but we ask residents to please be aware of the heavy equipment and use caution when traveling in these areas.

Road Closure Notice
The Allen Parish Police Jury will close a section of Ten Mile rd on Tuesday 14, 2026 from 8:00am to 2:00pm. The road will be closed from the intersection of Baggett rd. to the Ten Mile Bridge.

The Allen Parish Police Jury will be replacing the culverts at the Intersection of Calvin Willis Road on Friday, April 10, 2026 beginning at 8:00AM. The road is estimated to be closed until 1:00PM or until the project is completed.

The Allen Parish Police Jury is currently doing major work on Powell Road from the spillway bridge to the CC Bel cut through road please find alternate routes during this major rehabilitation project.

This project may take a couple of weeks. We will post an update once it’s finished.

Good Friday April 3rd curbside trash service will be as regularly scheduled.

Also all parish dump sites will be open Good Friday April 3rd and Saturday April 4th, 8:00am to 4:00pm

Attention Allen Parish Residents:

Important Information regarding trash can placement for the New Automated Curbside Contract.

Residents should NOT have to bring their cans across the street/road for service. Cans should be serviced at each resident’s driveway as long as they are 3ft. from any object.

The Allen Parish Police Jury will close the north end of Cherrywinchie Road to through traffic March 30-31, 2026 from the parish line to the bridge to replace culverts. Please make arrangements it use another route during this construction. We apologize for the inconvenience.

Attention Allen Parish Residents

The Allen Parish Police Jury has closed Lauderdale Woodyard Rd. between Marshall LaFleur Rd. South to Hwy 190 to through traffic. The culvert has washed out posing a hazardous situation. As soon as the water recedes we will be replacing these pipes and restore normal traffic flow.

Today, February 24, 2026, the Allen Parish Police Jury will be closing M Fruge Road in Kinder, to through traffic to replace culverts, beginning at 9AM to 3PM. Please choose an alternate route. We apologize for any inconvenience.
