🚨 SEVERE WEATHER ALERT – PLEASE READ & PREPARE 🚨
According to National Weather Service and our partners with Obion County EMA, our area has been upgraded to a Level 4 out of 5 severe weather threat for today and tonight.
⚠️ What to expect:
* Possible tornadoes
* Large hail up to 2”
* Damaging winds up to 70 mph
* Heavy rainfall (2–3 inches)
This threat is expected to continue through the overnight hours, when severe weather is often more dangerous due to limited visibility and people being asleep.
🚒 FROM YOUR FIRE DEPARTMENT:
Now is the time to have a plan in place:
* Know where your safe place is (interior room, lowest level)
* Have multiple ways to receive alerts (weather radio, phone alerts, TV)
* Make sure your phone is charged and volume is on
* Do not rely on outdoor sirens alone
⚠️ IMPORTANT REMINDER:
During severe weather, please stay off the roads unless absolutely necessary. This allows emergency responders to do their job safely and quickly.
We will continue to monitor conditions closely and respond as needed. If conditions worsen, do not hesitate to call 911 in an emergency.
Stay weather aware. Stay prepared. Stay safe.
