Harvesting Excellence: Marion County Agriculture Hall of Fame Seeks Nominations
OCALA, Fla. - Since its founding in 2003, the Marion County Agriculture Hall of Fame has celebrated the vision, hard work, and lasting impact of those who have shaped the community’s farming and livestock heritage. With 43 legendary inductees to date, the Hall of Fame stands as a dynamic tribute to Marion County’s agricultural legacy.
Community members who know an agricultural leader who has made a meaningful impact on the county’s agriculture community are encouraged to complete a nomination form at the UF/IFAS Extension Office in Marion County, located at 2232 NE Jacksonville Road in Ocala, or download it online at: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1Ze-2aH1NiSQl-DASXZQ7lIUguydyTCc2/view?usp=drive_link . All nominations must be submitted by April 30, 2026.
In 2025, Jack Williams joined the ranks of Agricultural Hall of Fame honorees, standing beside names such as Scott Seiler, Hal Phillips, William “Bill” Phillips, Terry Teuton, Mark Shuffitt and many others who have left an indelible mark on Marion County. Mr. Williams’ s work inspired many agriculturalists, showcasing the dedication and passion for farming that built our community. Our county’s agricultural success is rooted in the hands that grow, plant, harvest, and innovate. We’re thrilled to honor those who have made a difference and will inspire future generations.
