Top Ten Reasons to VOTE NO to BYOB Tomorrow! PLEASE SHARE WITH FRIENDS AND FAMILY!!

10. Likely legal challenge which will cost the tax payers money and could lead to BYOB on the Boardwalk.
9. Not all restaurants Support BYOB. Most have remained quiet and some said it would hurt business.
8. What happens when BYOB isn’t successful? Will people lobbying for Bars be next?
7. Downtown is doing very well, very few vacancies from 6th-11th on Asbury Ave. (the actual area defined as downtown by the city) and Boardwalk is doing Great!
6. BYOB will likely not lead to more year round eateries. Look at other nearby shore communities that have BYOB restaurants. Most close during the off season.
5. No realistic examples, facts, or studies have been given by the proponents as to the benefits of allowing BYOB. We have only been given supposition.
4. According to surveys Residents, second homeowners, and visitors all agree that Ocean City is America’s Greatest Family Resort, in part because of our Alcohol Policy.
3. People chose Ocean City to live, work and visit because we are a safe, clean, and family friendly. No Public Consumption of Alcohol is part of that winning formula.
2. Ocean City is Unique-only seaside resort town that does not allow for public consumption of alcohol.
1. Ocean City is successful-most valuable seaside resort… Don’t Mess with Success!

We will be posting the results on here as soon as we get them (should have them by around 8:30PM tomorrow)

This is from a study done by The Richard Stockton College...while the Pro-BYOB side I am sure will jump on the fact that there is alcohol in Ocean City, the perception of Ocean City is that we are Alcohol Free and it is the reason OC stands out as a vacation destination. BYOB will not enhance this perception and image of Ocean City. DON'T MESS WITH SUCCESS VOTE NO to BYOB on MAY 8th. PLEASE SHARE THIS WITH YOUR NEIGHBORS, FRIENDS and FAMILY, ENCOURAGE THEM TO VOTE NO!

Ever wonder why people consider Ocean City, NJ "America's Greatest Family Resort"? The slide below shows the reason why, with the source listed. The pro-BYOB seams to want to talk about boycotts (which we don't support, endorse, or condone), our fund raising (which if BYOB is going to be so great for the restaurants how come none of the restaurants have contributed to their campaign?), and LEGITIMATE and LEGAL business ventures. We will not get distracted. Ask them for facts to back up their conclusions. Ask them for realistic examples. DON'T MESS WITH SUCCESS! On May 8th VOTE NO BASED ON THE FACTS! Please SHARE this with you friends and family and VOTE NO on MAY 8th!

The proponents have been unwilling or unable to answer how far away from the Boardwalk is considered off the Boardwalk. Yesterday, on the Harry Hurley radio show BYOB Proponent Mr. Bill McGinnity, “If you have a concern and you’re a boardwalk restaurant, you call your zoning officer and let your local zoning officer say yes you’re on the boardwalk or no you’re not on the boardwalk.” So according to Mr. McGinnity BYOB being on the Boardwalk will be up to one zoning officer, rather than all of the voters. For More information and reasons to VOTE NO please go to www.NoBYOB.com. VOTE NO to BYOB on May 8th!
