H4HP.P. Huts for Hope Poverty Project

H4HP.P. Huts for Hope Poverty Project We once built portable housing for the homeless population but because of lack of funding and volunteers, we were forced to close our doors.

We still want the overall mission to continue thru all of you! Our goals include so much more than providing portable shelters. Within the next couple years we want to bring in grants to help with fundraising efforts to finance the purchase of 3-5 acres of property on the Long Beach Peninsula here in Washington. A property that would house 20 mini-homes, a workshop to employ those whom we help and

build more shelters. Also a community room for teaching valuable off grid, minimalist, survival techniques to apply to everyday life. With solar and wind power the property would be self reliant and productive while providing a much needed address to those who need it most.

Hey, everyone! This is Pugs Addams! It's been a long time!!! 8 years, actually. I've been noticing the traffic to this page increasing as of late and I'm honestly thinking about finding a way to revive this movement. For those of you who don't know, Huts for Hope built tiny shelters for the un-housed that were given directly to the community that needed them. They were built to pull by hand so the unhoused could move them whenever necessary fairly easily. My question is, if I was to start another fundraiser to get this off the ground once again, would you support this cause? If so, please like, comment and share this page to help spread the word. I'd really like to see this movement continue on for those people who fall thru the cracks when it comes to housing programs, which is very common. I currently work as a care coordinator in housing and I'm seeing a huge need for a revival of HUTS. Do I have your support?

Minimum suggested Donation of $5 upon admittance towards a good cause as explained below.

1/13/21, 3am, the Foss family was awoken by a landslide hitting their home, knocking it completely off the foundation and shoving a good portion of it into the street.
Fortunately nobody was harmed but Cati Foss , mother and wife of the household found herself trapped inside of the home temporarily when the doors failed to open.
Not only has this family lost their home but they have had never ending bad luck since this happened.
Red tape from the city, county and other geologic agencies have held up any progress, so they don't even know if they can rebuild!
On top of that, within 48 hours of them being away from the house they had to evacuate, before they could even wrap their heads around what has happened, the house was broken into and anything of value was either stolen or broken.
Our hope is that we can raise some money to help make things easier on this family while they just try and get by while rebuilding after such a horrible tragedy.
If you can't make the movie and just want to help the family out, we have a link below for the GoFundMe page. All donations go directly to the family.
Thank you all for the support and thank you, Kaarina Stotts for letting us invade the drive in!

We are very sad to report, shop hope will be closed by the end of next month due to lack of financial and physical support.
We will not be shutting down completely, but we will be down sizing our organization in order to increase productivity and cut costs of operation.
With this being said, starting Wednesday September 27th, we will be in need of a team to help us pack up, sort and move.
If you are able to help, please contact us via Facebook.
Our shop is currently located in Klipsan Beach, Washington inside the Ocean Park Roofing building.
Thank you very much and have a great day!

A Big Thank You to the folks at Free Hot Soup in Vancouver, WA!
If you recall our last post about our most recent hutters (Hut recipients) being removed from the area where they were and given no option as to where they could go. Basically trying to force them to abandon the only solid roof they have right before the weather changes and shove them out of town. Well, we at huts for hope put our feelers out for a location and found a wonderful man willing to put them up on his property. His identity and location will remain anonymous for safety reasons. Since this location was further than they would have reasonably been able to walk with it, being disabled and all, Adrian and Shelly of Free Hot Soup sprang into action to help them relocate! Even renting a trailer to do the job! Hats off and thank you to everyone who made this possible!
This battle was won, but the war is far from over. The laws are still unjust and have to be changed NOW before the cold sets in and more people die from exposure! People deserve to sleep at night without being harassed!
We can't do this for everyone!
We do not have the resources or land to be able to provide property for everyone!
We got lucky and found some great people to help this time but it's not always going to work like that.
If you want Huts for Hope to be able to help our community, change these unjust anti homeless laws!

This is an URGENT plea to the Vancouver, Wa area!
We need camps for the homeless!!!
Your laws are making it impossible for people to survive!
You harass these people, make them move from where they are trying to rest and give no option as to where they can go and not get in trouble for trying to exist!
People deserve a right to rest and what the city of Vancouver is doing is inhumane!
CHURCHES of all denominations!
People need your help!
Please open your parking lots to those in need!
You can legally do this as a church!
Your buildings go unused for 6 days out of the week (most of them, anyway). The least you could do is open up a parking lot.
If you have any love and compassion for your fellow man, please help!
We need you and they need you!
We currently have a couple with a hut in limbo.
They are a very respectful couple.
If anyone has a lead on a place for them, they need one as soon as possible!
Please contact us via message if you can help and I will pass on the information to some local helpers in the area.
Thank you!!!

Hut 2.0!!!
We have been toying with this build for over a year!
We have had many ups and downs with this one including a complete rebuild after a very failed test run...
We have worked out the bugs, tested and retested. Including two different 3 mile test runs and two overnight stays.
It had some looks pulling into the camp ground but everyone was very friendly and we had no issues finding a camp ground who would let us stay with our hut.
This thing is ready to get someone off the ground and into a self contained mini home!

This comes included with a riding lawn mower: for easy hauling from one location to another. Yes, it's slow, but it works great!
This mower will also give the recipient a chance to make some money mowing lawns!
A portable camp stove: (not for indoor use)also note, we won't give these to everyone. We make sure the person getting it is of sound mind enough to be responsible with an open flame source.
A smoke alarm
A portable toilet: for easy and clean waste disposal.
A fold down table
A hand pump sink
A rain water catchment system
A small 12 volt inverter for charging a phone or a small laptop
A 12 volt solar light system
A cooler
4 jack stands
Locking doors with the persons very own house key
And last but not least, a tankless hot water heater!

This has been built for someone very down on their luck. Someone living on the streets just trying to survive.
Ultimately, we would love to grow large enough to be ready in the event of natural disasters, to provide temporary shelter for people displaced by storms and flooding all over our nation.
If you would like to help assist in our continued growth, so we can help more people on the street and grow into a nation wide program where we can help millions, please visit hutsforhope.com and click on the get involved link.
We can't do it without your help.
Thank you for all the love and support!
Let's create something positive in this country, one hut, one shelter at a time!

It's finally ready to be revealed!
Keep your eyes peeled and thank you all for the support and love!
