Ocean Shores Public Library

Ocean Shores Public Library Access the world in Ocean Shores through your public library! Come in with photo i.d. and proof of mailing address and get your own library card.

Library cards are free for Ocean Shores residents and property owners. Non-resident cards are $25.00 a year, or $10.00 for a three month temporary card. North Beach School District Students who live outside of Ocean Shores can get a card for free. We have 17 public computers you can use for up to one hour a day. We also have Wifi available.

Today at the Library, Mike Cairns author of "Under the Ash" did a presentation and book signing about doing search and rescue on May 18th, 1980 as a National Guard helicopter pilot beneath the ash cloud and into the crater of the Mt. Roy Lowry a member of the North Beach Artist's Guild taught two classes at the library today. Participants learned a scratchboard technique and were taught how to do a watercolor painting. The Guild has the mission of bringing art to the community. One of the ways they do this is through the Gallery of Ocean Shores, which has volunteers passionate about the arts.

Thank you to the Ocean Shores IGA and the generous customers that rounded up during the month of April! The funds raised will help the Ocean Shores Friends of the Library pay for library programs for all ages.

Our round up recipients for the month of April 2026 was friends of the Ocean Shores library .
Through the generous donations of our customers rounding up their purchases to the nearest dollar we were able to present the friends of the library a check for $3,710.46 !
Thank you to everyone who rounded up their purchase at the registers to help organizations like this continue their mission in the community .
