Our Year 2 Educator Prep students are helping refresh the halls at the beginning of the school year! ๐ŸŽจ๐Ÿ–๏ธ As part of their annual project, students designed and created bulletin boards representing various CTE programs. We love seeing their creativity and hard work helping make our school look great while showcasing all that CTE has to offer! Year 1 pics coming soon! ๐Ÿ’™โœจ

๐Ÿ”ฌ๐Ÿ‘€๐Ÿ‘‚ Healthcare isnโ€™t just something we read aboutโ€ฆ we EXPERIENCE it! ๐Ÿฉบโœจ

Our Health Science Core II students had a seriously hands-on day in the lab! From ears to eyes, they got to put their skills to the test and explore how healthcare professionals assess sensory function. ๐Ÿ‘ฉโ€โš•๏ธ๐Ÿ‘จโ€โš•๏ธ

๐Ÿ‘‚ Hearing: Students used tuning forks to investigate conductive hearing loss and see how sound travels through different pathways.

๐Ÿ‘€ Vision: We put those eyes to work with a Snellen chart, explored the top 7 common vision losses/difficulties, and even tested for color blindness!

๐Ÿ”Ž Students also got hands-on with an ophthalmoscope and otoscope, practicing the same types of tools they may encounter in their future healthcare careers.

And because learning is even better when we have people cheering our students on, we were excited to welcome some special visitors from administration! ๐Ÿ’™ Dr. Davis, our CTE Director, and Dr. B. stopped by to support our students and even put their own visual acuity to the test! ๐Ÿ‘€๐Ÿ˜‚

This is what immersive healthcare education looks like: less sitting, more doing; less memorizing, more experiencing! ๐Ÿฉบ๐Ÿ’™

So proud of these future healthcare professionals and the curiosity, confidence, and teamwork they bring into our classroom every day!
