We had a blast last Saturday at the "Unearth A Story" Summer Library Program Dino Dance Kickoff Party at Pascagoula Public Library! Say that three times fast! Thanks to all the OS Families that brought their kiddos out to sign-up and enjoy the festivities. We look forward to an amazing June and Summer Library Program!!

Tomorrow begins all of the awesome programs and don't forget to sign-up at the Ocean Springs Municipal Library to enroll your kids in a rewarding and amazing Summer Reading event throughout June!

Attention all family and caregivers of preschool, elementary-aged, and teen children! Summer Library Program programming begins next week with a variety of amazing programs (check out the calendar, FB, and newsletter for all of the different program offerings for teens and adults). Below are all of our elementary and preschool programs for June. Everything is free, but we would like your kiddos to sign up and enjoy all of the wonderful reading incentives and events.

We are closing the branch this Saturday (5-30) and all meeting at the newly renovated Pascagoula Public Library on Saturday for the Dinosaur-themed Summer Library Program kick-off, "Unearth a Story." There will be fun stuff for the kiddos and a dinosaur dance party. You can register there with us or register at the library any time within the month of June.

We look forward to seeing you for this year's Summer Library Program!

We encourage everyone from across Jackson and George counties to join us from 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM for an exciting community celebration featuring:

🦕 Dinosaur Dance Party
🧪 Hands-on STEM activities with STEM at SEA
🎥 Tours of our newly reimagined Children’s Library & brand-new Audio/Video Lab
🎮 Games, exhibits & interactive activities
🍔 Great food, refreshments & community booths

📢 Holiday Closure Notice 🇺🇸
All Jackson-George Regional Library branches will be closed Monday, May 25, 2026 in observance of Memorial Day.
📚 Book drops will remain open, and you can still access digital resources, renew items, and place holds anytime at www.jgrls.org.
We will reopen with regular hours on Tuesday, May 26, 2026.
Wishing everyone a safe and meaningful Memorial Day as we honor those who served. ❤️🤍💙

We're just two weeks away from our Summer Library Program Kick-Off Celebration! Join us on Saturday, May 30th, from 10 AM - 2 PM at the Pascagoula Public Library for a day of family fun, including games, music, giveaways, and more! Come check out our newly reimagined children's area, including hands-on STEM activities. We'll also be joined by Addie May’s Spotlight Elite Dance Company for a dinosaur-themed dance party, and other community partners from across the coast. Join presenter James Karlson, from the Walter Anderson Museum of Art, as he teaches teens about the process of making an original artwork block print! Then they will be able to watercolor their own and take it home! This event is made for teens/pre-teens and requires registration to attend.
