So Oceanport signs off on Dennis Drazin getting low interest rates for his project that will turn our town into Drazinville. The Mayor proudly boasts about his negotiating skills in reducing the number of apartments from 500 to 300. Now Drazin threatens to build 500 apartments if he doesn't get a tax break?

Drazin has been playing chess while the Mayor and Council are still learning how to play checkers.

In addition to possibly obtaining a casino license, Monmouth Park is moving ahead with several non-racing development projects for its property in Oceanport.

It’s funny how everytime there is a lawsuit, scandal or investigation in Bayonne, Oceanport’s “former” Mayor Jay Coffey, who is still puppet master for the current administration, is mentioned!

TAX BREAKS FOR BILLIONAIRES-

Oceanport residents to subsidize Netflix move to Fort Monmouth. $2 million a year in locked-in property taxes for the next 30 years, while ours continue to rise.

After hiring more police, and public works employees, buying new apparatus for fire and first aid, taking care of streets and paying $1 million a year to pay off the school debt boondoggle the “windfall” the town will get is gone in no time.

Bet you no tax relief or frozen property taxes for the rest of us!

The borough's 6,000 residents will benefit from the streaming giant's $903 million studio project at a former military base.

Hearing rumors that we never got the $9.8 million in State aid that the Oceanport Board of Education promised us on their underwhelming school project, and we, the Oceanport taxpayers, are on the hook for the full $34 million borrowed for this boondoggle!

From the attached Asbury Park Press article back in 2019:

“The board expects to get $9.8 million in state aid, reducing the total commitment from local taxpayers to $24.2 million.”

It took a few tries, but Oceanport approves $33.8 million in school renovations.

Once again our incompetent school board, “lead” by Moron Mark Patterson, is at it again wasting precious taxpayer dollars on non-education items. It’s a shame that we continue to elect the same people over and over again and expect a different result. Elect stupid people, win stupid prizes!
