Recon Chief Inc. Recon Chief Inc. Mission Statement:
Advocacy: Recon Chief Inc. Recon Race to Raise Veteran Awareness in Mental Health, PTSD, and Suicide (R3VAMPS)
2.

Veteran Owned Nonprofit Organization •Therapeutic Racing Platform for Veterans • Cope with PTSD, TBI, and Post-war trauma • Veteran Suicide Prevention • Build Camaraderie • Build Cars • Transition with a Purpose is Veteran Owned & operated 501(C) 3 organization and will provide Education for veterans across the full range of challenges facing veterans in their transition from military service into

civilian life. allows our veterans' voices to be heard regarding the issues closely related to our organization’s mission. Our mission includes raising awareness and outreach for veteran PTSD, Suicide Prevention, Military Sexual Trauma (MST) advocacy, and mental health awareness through an empowering experience in the racing world. Through team building, community outreach, program development, volunteer-ship, and essentially communicating to our veterans that their sense of belonging and camaraderie still matters outside of the military, we can make a difference in their transition out of the service and exercise their unique abilities developed from the military here on the racetrack. Our goal is to provide a safety net for transitioning personnel to help reduce the risks of veteran suicide. Vision Statement: To accelerate our veterans’ transition back into their civilian lives through therapeutic programs involving motorsports, recreational therapy, and continuous community outreach. Core Values: Honor, Courage & Commitment

Honoring our fallen veterans to suicide and mental health while conducting ourselves with the highest ethical manner to our veterans and their families

Courage to accept the demands and decisions needed to be made by each of our veterans to train, transition, and be challenged

Commitment to creating a safety net at home and work, professionally and personally, and to continually strive for positive change and personal improvement. Our Veteran Experience with Unlimited Potential in the Car Culture offers three Veteran Experience Programs:
1. Recon Offroad R & R for Veteran Suicide Prevention (RORR)
3. Recon OTBP Team Hike to save a veteran (ROTBP)

This is an exciting new venture in the car industry and culture. This charity is centered around our Veterans of PTSD and Mental Health but the road doesn’t end here. As our veteran's transition into a complex world with a rich history, full of adventure, excitement, and camaraderie, it will be up to the veteran to progress through certain stages of our healing programs and transition into the new chapters of their civilian lives. Team building, education throughout the process, and creating that sense of belonging are the goals we are aiming for to help with transition and healing. All this will be done through racing and fellowship. This is the safety net needed to get this job done and we will do it through progressive team building and involving them in car culture. will be gathering many different ideas from our veterans and like-minded individuals in order to execute our mission to help veterans survive and thrive with the knowledge and expertise to earn their way to the cockpit of a fully built and tested race car on the track; built by veterans, tried by veterans and tested by veterans, to reach their overall goals of redirecting lost or unused skills/energy into their everyday lives through racing. is committed to recruiting veterans to work with our programs and aid in supporting other veterans in need of help with the same issues we will be raising awareness and understanding for. We have been privileged to work with individuals and organizations that do great work for veterans while our network continues to grow. We have continued many of these relationships throughout multiple projects and supporting veteran culture events. Understanding Suicide
On average, 22 veterans a day die by suicide. In 2017, nearly one in every seven suicides nationally was a veteran—13.5% annually—compared with Census data that shows veterans make up about 8% of the U.S. adult population. According to the U.S. Department of Veteran Affairs, up to 20% of military personnel who served in Iraq or Afghanistan experience PTSD each year. Unfortunately, the numbers are not showing any significant slowing. Our veterans are at risk, and we as a nation need to support them. Our Initiative: By Reaching out to veterans through Veteran Support Organizations such as:
The PTSD Foundation of America. The Veterans Administration, The Warrior Built Foundation and other nonprofits in our local community can be some of the strongest protective factors against veteran suicide as a social support system. If a veteran feels connected to a community and has friends and people to turn to when they need help, they are less likely to die by suicide.
