The Oceanside Republican Women Federated was organized on April 30, 1948. The first meeting was held in the Garden room of the Carlsbad Hotel, a building that no longer exists. Our first president was Mrs. Miracle, she resided in Oceanside. Oceanside separated from Carlsbad and formed her own charter and became Oceanside Republican Women Federated on March 22, 1974. We meet on the second Wednesday
of every month at the El Camino Country Club. It is a luncheon speakers meeting beginning at 11:00am with our meet and greet. We have had a variety of terrific speakers. We also have another speakers meeting once a month called politics 101, we meet at the VANC building on the first Saturday of every month at 9:30am. It is free and we provide coffee, bagels and great speakers. We register voters at Oceanside's Sunset market once a month, we participate with a float in the 4th of July parade and we support our local veterans with our Caring for America project. We have helped open and maintain a Republican HQ in Oceanside during election years and we offer 2 scholarships per year to graduating seniors for Oceanside High Schools. ORWF tries to be a force for good in the Oceanside community.
