consists of 220 Volunteer firefighters and 50 Paid Medics protecting the residents of Oceanside, New York and the surrounding communities. responded to over 2200 runs. Our Department is led by Chief of Department Sean B. Lynch and his Assistant Chiefs Kevin Klein Sr., Mark Sparberg, and William Sitzman. The department is made up of Salamander Hook Ladder and Bucket Co. #1, Columbia Engine Co. #1,

Oceanside Hose Co. #1, South Side Hose Co. #2, and Terrace Hose Co. #3. Our paid Medics are on duty 24 hours a day, 365 days a year and provide Advanced Life Support level care. Fire Headquarters is located at 65 Foxhurst Road Oceanside, N.Y. 11572 and our Dispatcher can be reached at 516-766-2717 24 hours a day.

Yesterday on Memorial Day, the Chiefs and membership of the Oceanside Fire Department, together with the Commissioners of the Oceanside Fire District, gathered to pay tribute to the fallen men and women of our armed forces. Although the Oceanside Memorial Day Parade was canceled due to inclement weather, we still came together to honor those who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our nation.

It is our duty to never forget their courage, sacrifice, and devotion to this country. A beautiful and moving ceremony was held at Headquarters as we remembered and honored our nation’s heroes.

This week, we recognize National EMS Week and honor the dedicated men and women who answer the call when our neighbors need them most. We are incredibly grateful for the top notch emergency medical care provided by the personnel of the Oceanside Fire District.
