Oceanside's recycled water network keeps growing. Crews are making strong progress on the Fire Mountain Recycled Water Reservoir and Pump Station, a 2.2 million-gallon storage tank that will expand how the city stores and delivers recycled water to irrigation and industrial customers like golf courses, HOAs, parks, and agricultural users.

The reservoir walls, roof, and columns are complete, connecting pipelines have been installed and tested, and work on the pump station is underway.

By supplying recycled water to high-demand customers, the city reduces the draw on imported drinking water, a key part of Oceanside's long-term sustainability strategy. Completion is expected in Fall 2026. πŸ’§

Chief Dave Parsons leaves behind a 25-year legacy with the department, including the opening of Fire Stations 1 and 9 and the launch of OFD's Hand Crew, among many other efforts. We thank him for his service!

Today is World Ocean Day. Every morning, we wake up next to one of Earth's most vital systems. The ocean drives our climate, anchors our economy, and it holds more undiscovered life than anywhere else on the planet. Worth celebrating. Happy , Oceanside!
