Big news for CREDO MCI West — we’re joining the modern world of online registration.

We are transitioning our event registration process to TRUMBA, an online event registration system. This will make it much easier to register for CREDO workshops and retreats and help us share upcoming opportunities more clearly.

We will begin with TRUMBA for the 17–19 April 2026 Marriage Enrichment Retreat (MER) with open registration TODAY. Please follow the below link to CREDO MCI West Event Registration page for step-by-step instructions and to complete and submit your application:

This new system will help us respond more quickly to requests from commanders, chaplains, Marines, Sailors, and their families. TRUMBA also makes it easier to see what events are coming up and connect Marines, Sailors, and families with opportunities that strengthen resilience, relationships, and spiritual readiness.

When Marines deploy, those who remain behind often face a different kind of challenge. The normal rhythm of the unit changes, and it can be easy to feel disconnected.

At Camp Horno, 1st Marines partnered with CREDO MCI-West to support their Remain Behind Elements (RBE) through workshops focused on strengths, purpose, and transition readiness.

Marines took time to reflect on their strengths and think through future selves.

Moments like this remind us that readiness is not only about training for the mission. It is also about caring for the people who carry it.

CREDO MCI West’s Personal Growth Retreat at Joshua Tree National Park has moved to:

(Previously scheduled for March 27–29) 

This all-inclusive, outdoor retreat is created and led by military veterans and designed to equip Marines and Sailors with practical tools, meaningful connection, and personal growth in a powerful setting.

🌄 Adventure. Reflection. Rock climbing. Growth.

This is the one CREDO retreat specifically designed for individual Marines and Sailors — married or single — making it a unique opportunity to invest in your own resilience, clarity, and growth.

CREDO MCI West had the privilege of supporting 3d Battalion, 7th Marines (V3/7) in Twentynine Palms with 2 days of Marriage Enrichment Workshops (January 8–9, 2026) - as part of the commander’s warrior wellness emphasis.

Over 2 days, couples stepped away from the operational tempo to invest intentionally in their relationships. Through guided conversations, small-group discussion, and hands-on exercises, couples focused on strengthening friendship, deepening emotional connection, and developing practical skills to build meaninful marriages.

Grateful to Chaplain Hardy and the V3/7 leadership for making the relational readiness of their Marines a priority and for creating space where couples could engage fully—together.

Last weekend reminded me why CREDO exists.

At the Andaz in downtown San Diego, couples stepped away from the noise of daily life.
They slowed down.
They listened.
They chose each other—on purpose.

Our first Marriage Enrichment Retreat of the fiscal year created space for honest conversation and renewed connection.
No fixing.
No performing.
Just intentional time together.

Our next Marriage Enrichment Retreat will be held at the Andaz, downtown San Diego, February 20–22.

October at CREDO MCI-WEST: Ministry in Action

Grateful for a meaningful month investing in the spiritual readiness and well-being of Marines, Sailors, and families across CPEN, Miramar, 29 Palms, and our I MEF MSCs.

In October, we delivered 12 events that strengthened connection, deepened purpose, and helped build the kind of resilience that carries people through both everyday life and the hardest moments of service.

Highlights:
• 7 Marriage Enrichment events, including a Gottman 7 Principles T4T with 21 new leaders equipped to serve their communities
• 2 Personal Growth Workshops tailored for 4th AAV and Wounded Warrior Bn-West SD Det
• 3 ASIST trainings, expanding peer “su***de-alert” capability to 84 Marines & Sailors

Way Ahead:
We’ll continue partnering with RMTs and command teams to strengthen protective factors, build healthier relationships, and cultivate the kind of spiritual resilience that keeps our force grounded, connected, and mission-ready.

Last week, CREDO MCI WEST was out in 29 Palms briefing the area wide training (AWT) and providing a Strengths Discovery Encounter (SDE) with the religious ministry team (RMT) (desert cammies).

Yesterday, we shifted back to woodlands to lead another SDE with V11, collaborating with Chaplain Andrew Goodson.

Grateful to Chaplain Goodson for trusting us with his Marines and for the opportunity to invest in leaders who are building resilience, purpose, and mission readiness.

Through CliftonStrengths, leaders on the waterfront discovered and developed their unique talents—equipping them for both mission and life.
