Today is Memorial Day. While we never stop serving, we are taking a moment to remember and honor the brave men and women who gave their lives for our country. Their sacrifice is the reason we’re able to do what we do and live the way we live today.

It’s more than a long weekend. It's a day of gratitude, remembrance, and respect. 🇺🇸

We already have summer-like temperatures here in Ocoee.
It only takes minutes for a car to become dangerously hot. A child can suffer heatstroke in as little as 15 minutes.
Please remember: Look before you lock. Every. Single. Time.

Check your back seat before walking away. Keep vehicles locked when not in use and store keys out of reach.

One small habit can save a life.

Our Medical Support Unit (MSU-25) was honored to team up with Hillsborough County Fire Rescue, Tampa Fire Rescue, Orange County Fire Rescue, and our state and federal partners for the 2026 National Disaster Medical System (NDMS) Exercise at Tampa International Airport.

This massive, full-scale drill happens every three years to make sure different agencies can work together seamlessly during major disasters. This year’s scenario simulated a catastrophic disaster in Mississippi that overwhelmed local resources, requiring patients to be evacuated out of state.

Following their arrival on a C-130, volunteer patients were triaged and transported to local hospitals by ground ambulances. Participants supported the exercise through various roles, including medical staffing, public information coordination, and Unified Command operations.

These exercises build the readiness needed to serve our communities in emergencies. We are proud to train alongside the best to ensure we are always ready when disaster strikes.
