Message from Chief Pfister
The City of Oconomowoc Police Department continues to provide the highest quality police service to the citizens we serve. Since the establishment in 1875, our dedicated men and women have worked closely with our community to improve the quality of life in the City of Oconomowoc. The police department believes in a community-orientated policing philosophy. We pride ou
rselves in close relationships within our community and the support provided by members in our community. These relationships allow us to engage with the community members and get feedback to continually improve. Our agency is comprised of 25 full-time police officers, 3 part-time officers, 1 part-time boat patrol officer, 5 full-time dispatchers, 6 part-time dispatchers, 2 civilian positions and 12 part-time community service officers. We provide specialized services in the areas of School Resource Officer, Internet Crimes Against Children, Narcotics Investigations, Citizen Response to Active Assailant Courses, and QPR Su***de Awareness (Question Persuade Refer). In 2021 we will be starting a new program called the “Citizens Academy," which is designed to help educate interested individuals on what it means to be a police officer in our community. The City of Oconomowoc Police Department will be celebrating 150 years of professional law enforcement services to the citizens and visitors of Oconomowoc in 2025. I would like to thank all those that have served the community in the past, and those who are currently providing quality service to our community. We invite citizens to view our webpage, page, and other media platforms to learn more about the City of Oconomowoc Police Department and the programs offered.
