Summit students in 3rd and 4th grade enjoyed an author visit from Wisconsin author Amy Timberlake. Amy writes the humorous Skunk and Badger series for children. Badger is a serious rock scientist, which led Timberlake to take a deep dive study into geology. As Amy shared her book she also helped Summit students build a geological timeline of the earth using ribbon lengths to make a visual representation. Thank you to Amy Timberlake and Books and Company for bringing this amazing author to our school!

Students will visit the Book Fair November 17th & 18th to fill out their personal wish lists — so start thinking about those must-read titles!

🛍️ Shopping Hours:
📅 Nov 17 & 18: After school until 5 PM
🎉 Nov 19: During Family Bingo Night with a special guest — Book Fair open late until 7 PM!

🎶 We love our teachers and our school! 🎶

Thanks to a generous business donation, the PTO treated our amazing staff to a sandwich bar lunch with all the fixings on Tuesday! During conference week, our teachers spend long hours meeting with parents, and we wanted to show our appreciation.

This morning, Kwik Trip helped us fuel their day with a breakfast spread of all kinds — and of course, plenty of teacher juice (☕ coffee)!

A huge thank you to our incredible teachers and staff for everything you do each day — and to our local businesses for continuing to support Summit Elementary! 💙🐾

📚 Our Fall Book Fair is right around the corner! 🍂

Here’s what you need to know:

Students will not be able to purchase during the school day (no need to send money with them).

Instead, they’ll have the chance to fill out a wish list to bring home!

All purchases can be made after school until 5 PM, and during our BINGO Night on Wednesday, November 19th, at Summit.

We’re also looking for volunteers to help keep things organized and assist with checkouts!
