It's with high excitement that we share with you this year's winner for our annual 200 E. Central Ave. Mural contest winner ~ Lillian Winans! Thank you to Cleaning Connect LLC for awarding Lillian with an AMAZING gift basket full of art supplies!

The Art Club is in its fourth year of working alongside the city of Oconto Falls to help decorate the downtown district. Four years ago, we obtained permission to attach students' work to the downtown building at 200 E. Central Ave. Oconto Falls. We have already placed three Oconto Falls Middle School Students' original work of art on the building, and we just finished creating the fourth!!!

Students spent many days in Art Club planning, sketching, revising, and critiquing each other on their work. We received many submissions from OFMS students of all grade levels.

Lillian's design amazed the judges with its delicate colors, linear design, and her amazing work ethic. Lillian's work will go up sometime this summer, and we want to congratulate her on a job well done.

Tradition 🖤🧡 Watching the buses pull away and waving goodbye to our amazing students is always bittersweet, but we couldn't be prouder of how hard they worked during our first year at Oconto Falls Middle School.

What a fun morning yesterday! The 6th-grade students spent the week designing mini-golf holes for paper airplane golf. Yesterday, they set up and played all 18 holes…twice! ⛳️🏌️🏌️‍♀️🏌️‍♂️

The creativity was outstanding!! 🤩 These amazing kids have started a new end-of-the-year tradition at OFMS.

The 7th Grade Pass Battle ended with a 1st place for Miss Miller's Pass! 7th-grade students spent the day at Memorial Field participating in team relays, a kickball tournament, and finally, tug-of-war! A great day was had by all!

Students in AgriScience 7B wrapped up their Forestry Unit with a hands-on (and delicious!) activity by creating “tree bark” out of chocolate. Students added different toppings to represent factors that can damage trees and forests. Mini M&M’s symbolized insect damage, mini marshmallows represented tree diseases, and pretzels stood for unnatural damage caused by vehicles or machinery.

This creative lab helped students connect real forestry concepts to a fun visual model while exploring the many challenges trees can face in their environment. Thankfully, our students were more than willing to help “dispose” of the damaged trees once the lesson was complete!
