Rural Non-Congregate Summer Meals will be available again for the summer of 2026. We will serve grab and go style meals from both the Ida Grove Elementary and the Odebolt Elementary/Middle School buildings. Meals will be served from the front entrance/canopy area of the buildings. Meal pick-up times are 11:30-12:30 at both locations.

Meal service is only being offered from June 1 - June 30.

Meals are FREE and for students/children only (18 & Under), no adult meals are being offered.
Meal would include the lunch (for that day) and the next day's breakfast.

Meal service is scheduled to begin on Monday, June 1, 2026.

Pickup location & time:
OABCIG Elementary-Ida Grove (Main Entrance) - 11:30 AM-12:30 PM
OABCIG Elementary/MS-Odebolt (Main Entrance) - 11:30 AM-12:30 PM

**Please note, students being bussed for summer school will be given a meal to take with them when they are bussed home. Parents will not need to pick up a meal for summer school students when summer school is in session.

**Parent/Guardian may pick up without the child being present. Daycares may not pick up meals for the children in their establishments per USDA guidance.

This week Faith Lutheran Church presented the City of Odebolt with donations.

$5,000 for the Odebolt Parks and 34,700 for the Odebolt Pool.

The Mayor, Council, and City Employees want to give a HUGE thank you for this donation and we appreciate the support this year along with all the past years.

These donations are a huge reason we are able to keep our pool running and continue to make improvements each year! ❤️

Again, this year, McCone’s Food’s Pickled Herring is available for order to benefit the Odebolt Swimming Pool. We are fundraising for new stairs!!
This high-quality Pickled Herring is a big seller every year.

🙌🏽 A 36 oz. (2.25lb) tub is $18.00.

You can order by coming to City Hall during business hours, or contact Addie Mohr, or stop in at Joan's Headquarters Salon.

ORDERING DEADLINE IS FRIDAY NOVEMBER 21st.

All orders are expected to be available for pickup on the 1st or 2nd week of December, just in time for the holidays!
