Yesterday was our first "First Chapter Friday" Story hour for kids 3rd-6th grade. It was a very fun morning with a great group of kids! We dived in to two chapter books - the classic Magic Treehouse "Dinosaurs Before Dark", and a new Dinosaur Club book about the Allosaurus! (there are 12 books so far is this Dinosaur Club set!). The kids enjoyed watching a YouTube video on dino facts. They got to search the library and find a dinosaur to "adopt" to take home with them (with their adoption papers!). We ended the morning by making fingerprint dino art scenes. The kids even came up with the idea to give their scenes titles!

Our Summer at the Odell Library has started off with a bang! We have had a couple preschool story hours with Ms. Judy, a K-2 Story Hour, Travelled to the SPA daycare for a Father's Day themed Storytime, and had a excellent program on Mental Health/Addiction by Mary Scherling! thanks to everyone for all your help and support!
