This afternoon, OVFD responded to a multi-vehicle incident involving entrapment. One patient was extricated from the vehicle and transported via HALO. Excellent collaboration was demonstrated among Annaville Fire Department-Nueces County ESD #1 CCFD, Allegiance, and OFVD, showcasing effective teamwork between all departments.

Odem VFD is pleased to announce that we have been awarded a $25,000 grant from the Fire Department Assistance program, administered by Texas A&M Forest Service. This funding enabled the purchase of new firefighting gear for our volunteer members, replacing equipment that had reached its 10-year lifespan, thereby ensuring our personnel's safety and readiness for the next decade. Today, a medical emergency occurred at the Odem little league fields where an individual was electrocuted. First and foremost, OFD wishes to express its gratitude to the Odem-Edroy Independent School District and the San Patricio County Sheriff's Office for their prompt response in administering first aid, which potentially saved the individual's life while Emergency Responders arrived. Great work from all.

As always, please ensure that any work involving electricity is thoroughly double-checked.
