Honoring the Voices Behind the Headset

This week, The Ector County Hospital District Police Department proudly celebrates National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week!

While you may never see their faces on the scene, our dispatchers are the true "first" first responders. They are the calm in the chaos, the steady voices in your darkest moments, and
the vital lifeline that ensures our officers, staff, visitors, and patients stay safe 24/7/365.

Every successful emergency response begins with their quick thinking, professionalism, and compassion. They don't just answer calls; they coordinate life-saving resources and provide critical guidance when every second counts.

To our incredible team: Thank you for your dedication, your resilience, and your unwavering commitment to Medical Center Health Systems. You are the heartbeat of our department, and we are forever grateful for the work you do behind the scenes.

🚨 Service honored, pride shared! 🚨

From the field to the stands, our commitment to service never stops. Proud moment as Captain Jones represented Ector County Hospital District Police Department at the Cowboy's game honoring first responders. Thank you for supporting those who protect and serve daily.

🩷 Standing Strong in Pink 🩷

This October, the Ector County Hospital District Police Department is proud to wear pink badges in honor of Breast Cance Awareness Month.

Each badge is a symbol of our commitment to supporting the fighters, admiring the survivors, and honoring the taken. We stand with our community in raising awareness, promoting early detection, and showing solidarity with those affected by breast cancer.

Let our pink badges be a reminder: awareness saves lives. 💪

In Loving Memory of Sgt. Daniel Valenzuela
September 26, 2021

Today marks another year since we lost Sgt. Daniel Valenzuela—a brave soul, a devoted protector, and a beloved friend. Daniel was taken from us far too soon in a tragic car accident, but his legacy continues to live on in the hearts of all who knew him.

He served with honor, led with compassion, and lived with integrity. Whether in uniform or out in the community, Daniel made a difference. His laughter, his strength, and his unwavering commitment to others will never be forgotten.

To those who had the privilege of knowing him, let’s take a moment today to remember the light he brought into our lives. Share a story, say a prayer, or simply hold his memory close.
Gone but never forgotten. Rest easy, Sgt. Valenzuela.

👏 Outstanding Work by Sergeant Sampson’s Shift! 👏
Sergeant Sampson and his team did an exceptional job on a recent investigation involving multiple crimes — including several vehicle burglaries, a building burglary, a stolen car, and indecent exposure.
Through hard work and dedication, Corporals Brookshire, Jowers, Gonzales, and Officer Hernandez followed the evidence, identified a suspect, and tracked him to his place of employment. The suspect was taken into custody and admitted to his involvement in the cases.
Because of their teamwork and persistence, multiple cases were successfully cleared by the Ector County Hospital District Police Department.
Great job, team! 👏
