What a great day to be a Noel Longhorn! 🤠💚💛

Today we celebrated students who met their goals in i-Ready Reading, i-Ready Math, ST Math, and Summit K-12. We are so proud of the hard work, dedication, and growth our students continue to show each day!

We also recognized three students with perfect attendance for the week. They were rewarded with a special trip to the prize case to choose an item of their choice. 🎉

Congratulations to Ms. Burgos’s class for earning the ST Math Trophy for the week! 🏆

And for the second week in a row, Isibindi took the top spot for earning the most House points! Way to go, Isibindi! 💪

🧹💚💛 Happy Custodian Appreciation Week! 💛💚🧹
This week, we are celebrating the amazing people who keep Noel looking its best—Ms. Laura Medrano, Ms. Dorothy Alvarado, and Ms. Sylvia Franco! 🌟
They clean up spills we didn’t see happen, find messes we didn’t know were possible, empty what seems like 10,000 trash cans a day 😂, and somehow keep our school looking beautiful through all the daily adventures of hundreds of little Longhorns!
But what makes these ladies truly special goes far beyond keeping our building clean. They are kind, dependable, hardworking, and always willing to lend a helping hand. They take pride in our school, care about our students and staff, and do so much behind the scenes that often goes unnoticed.
Laura, Dorothy, and Sylvia—we SEE you, we APPRECIATE you, and we are so thankful for everything you do! Noel would definitely not shine as brightly without you! ✨💚💛

🌟💚💛 Celebrating Our Bilingual Longhorns! 💛💚🌟
We are so proud to share that Noel Elementary, Ms. Macias, our amazing bilingual teachers, and our bilingual students were recognized by Summit K12 for their outstanding usage and hard work! 🎉👏
For those who may not be familiar, Summit K12 is an online learning program that supports emergent bilingual students as they develop their English language skills in listening, speaking, reading, and writing. In Texas, its English Language Development program is aligned with the ELPS and helps prepare students for continued growth and success on TELPAS. Summit K12
This recognition reflects the dedication of our students who continue to work hard, our bilingual teachers who encourage and support them every day, and Ms. Macias for her leadership and commitment to our bilingual program. 💚💛

Today we celebrated our Longhorns of the Month! 🎉🤠

Our teachers selected students who consistently demonstrate one of Noel’s core values—Responsibility. Being responsible means making positive choices, following through on commitments, taking care of our school and belongings, completing assignments, and treating others with kindness and respect. Responsible students understand that their actions matter, accept accountability for their choices, and look for ways to help others and contribute to a safe, respectful, and successful school community.

We are so proud of these students for setting a great example and showing what it means to be safe, respectful, and responsible each day.

Our celebration included a special luncheon where our Longhorns of the Month were able to celebrate this achievement alongside their families. Thank you to all the family members who joined us and helped make the day even more memorable!

We also recognized some of our amazing parents for their support and willingness to lend a helping hand. Thank you for partnering with us and making a difference at Noel!

🥤❤️ Soda Bar Surprise for Our Amazing Staff! ❤️🥤

Our Sunshine Committee surprised our teachers and staff with a fun Soda Bar! With all kinds of sodas, flavored syrups, and a special menu of delicious combinations to try, everyone could mix up their own perfect drink! 🥤✨

It was a sweet little treat for a staff that gives so much to our Longhorns every single day. We love and appreciate our Noel staff! 💚💛

💚💛 At Noel Elementary, our core values are more than words on a wall—they are actions we practice every day!

Ms. Rizo’s 4th graders worked together to create Frayer Models that define what it means to be Safe, Respectful, and Responsible. Through collaboration, discussion, and critical thinking, students explored examples, non-examples, and real-life ways to demonstrate our school expectations.

We love seeing our Longhorns take ownership of what it means to be safe, respectful, and responsible—because every Longhorn, every day, makes Noel a great place to learn! 🤘💚💛

📚✏️ AVID strategies in action in Ms. Gonzales’ 2nd grade classroom!

Our students are doing more than just solving math problems—they are thinking, discussing, justifying, and showing their learning in multiple ways. Through AVID strategies, students are writing about their thinking, using math models, and explaining how they arrived at their answers.

When students can solve it, show it, and explain it, deeper learning happens! We are proud of the hard work and critical thinking happening every day at Noel Elementary. 💚💛🤘
