Austin Montessori Spirit Wear Reminder 🦅
Families, we want to provide a quick clarification regarding Friday Spirit Wear.
Austin Montessori is a uniform campus, and Friday spirit wear is a special opportunity for students to show their Eagle pride while remaining within our campus dress expectations.
We recognize that, in previous years, purchasing and wearing spirit shirts from outside vendors has not been closely monitored or consistently enforced, and we understand that some families have purchased these shirts. We appreciate your understanding as we clarify this expectation moving forward.
Beginning immediately, students may wear official Austin Montessori spirit shirts that have been approved by the campus and/or sold through our Austin Montessori PTA. Shirts or merchandise produced and sold by outside vendors without campus approval are not considered approved spirit wear and should not be worn in place of the regular school uniform.
We also want our families to understand why this matters. When you purchase official spirit wear through our PTA, those proceeds come right back to Austin Montessori to support our students, staff, programs, activities, and campus needs. When Austin Montessori merchandise is purchased from an outside vendor who is not affiliated with our school or PTA, those funds do not come back to our school or benefit our students.
This year, one of our biggest goals is to purchase a new Early Childhood playground—and as you can imagine, that is a BIG purchase! Fundraisers like spirit wear help our PTA raise the funds needed to make projects like this possible. Every official shirt purchased is more than just Eagle spirit—it is an investment back into our school and our students.
Our goal is not to discourage Eagle pride—we LOVE seeing it! We simply ask that when purchasing Austin Montessori spirit wear, you support the official sources that give back to the school your purchase represents.
