Great article in the Midland Reporter-Telegram on the new Liberty Energy facility in Odessa!

"The $50 million facility includes a 1,200-by-220-foot building, a 42-bay maintenance workshop, a 50,000-square-foot warehouse, a six-bay truck wash facility and a two-story office building with a dedicated employee center. The project received a five-year agreement with a $2.5 million grant from the Odessa Development Corporation.

Ron Gusak, Liberty chief executive officer, told the crowd the facility represents “a commitment to our employees, putting them under one roof in a world-class facility. It’s a commitment to the community that we will have a long-term presence and a commitment to people around the world that depend on energy to make quality of life possible.” "

We were proud to help celebrate the official ribbon cutting of Liberty Oil on Wednesday. The Odessa Development Corporation and the Odessa Chamber’s Economic Development Team played a significant role in bringing this project to Odessa. Liberty Energy is a major energy industry service provider across North America, now operating in Odessa.

The Texas Economic Development Open House hosted by Google focused on the growing impact of data centers on Texas communities. Discussions centered on hyperlocal impact, energy, water, workforce, and economic growth. Adriana Cruz, Executive Director of Economic Development and Tourism Office of Texas Governor Greg Abbott, spoke on Texas’ continued success in attracting major investments, including Google’s commitment to a $40 billion investment in the state.

The event reinforced the importance of collaboration between industry, education, local governments, and community leaders to ensure communities are prepared for both the opportunities and challenges that accompany large-scale data center development.
