Odessa Links

Odessa Links Mission: Odessa Links provides our community with access to resources and follow-up care, together with local organizations. Inception Date: September 2002

Our mission is to provide impoverished and unhoused Odessans with the resources, advocacy, and opportunities they need to become self-sufficient while offering guidance and motivation to those who are underserved. We are a 501(c)3 nonprofit agency governed by a board of directors. Over the years we've been best described as: a non-profit hub, nucleus of services, connection point, a linking service, an entry point.

Today we had the privilege of celebrating the 15-year anniversary and ribbon cutting for Family Promise of the Permian Basin as they unveiled their new name and continued vision for serving families in our community.
The impact this organization has made over the years is truly inspiring. Seeing their incredible facility and learning more about the life-changing work they do for families was a reminder of how much can be accomplished when people come together with a heart to serve.

We then toured the Dream Center and were absolutely in awe of their program and the vision for the future. Their commitment to impacting and empowering young adults, helping them build confidence, develop life skills, and create brighter futures, is truly remarkable. The passion and purpose behind everything they do shines through.
What an amazing day spent with organizations that are changing lives and strengthening our community. So much hope, heart, and vision in one day.

We are so proud of Christina Escobar, Executive Director of United Way of Odessa, for representing Odessa so well today as a panelist at the State of the Nonprofits.
She did an incredible job sharing insight, passion, and leadership on behalf of our community. It’s inspiring to see local leaders using their voices to make a difference and advocate for the needs of our region.

Today, Jesús Gómez and I had the opportunity to visit Safe Place of Midland, Permian Basin Habitat for Humanity, and Buckner’s Family Hope and Pathways—and our hearts are so full.
To witness firsthand the compassion, dedication, and life-changing work happening within these organizations was truly inspiring. Each one is making a powerful impact in our community—providing safety, building homes, and restoring hope to so many individuals and families.
Moments like today remind me why collaboration matters so much. When organizations come together with a shared mission, we can create real, lasting change.
I am incredibly grateful for the warm welcome and the work being done every single day. I look forward to continuing—and growing—partnerships with these amazing agencies as we serve our community together.
