GENIUS HOUR + IB RISK-TAKERS IN ACTION!!!

Our IB Learner Profile Attribute of the Month is RISK-TAKER, and our Genius Hour students are showing us exactly what that looks like!!!

🤸‍♀️ Gymnastics Genius Hour students are stepping outside their comfort zones and working on handstands…building strength, balance, confidence, and the courage to keep trying!

🎮 eSports Genius Hour students are taking on a creative challenge! Each student chose a classic video game icon and is recreating it in Minecraft, block by block…using creativity, problem-solving, and perseverance along the way!

Being an IB Risk-Taker means having the courage to try something new, take on a challenge, and learn from the experience…and these Mustangs are doing just that! 🐴

Take the risk. Try something new. Keep growing!!!

This year, we’re giving our students something extra special...time to explore what makes THEM curious!!! 💡

Our new Genius Hour classes give students the opportunity to step outside the traditional classroom and discover, create, explore, and learn about topics they are passionate about. Students will have a choice of engaging classes designed to spark curiosity, build confidence, and encourage creativity.

From creative arts and movement to technology, STEM, leadership, and other exciting opportunities, Genius Hour is all about helping students answer one important question:

This initiative connects beautifully with our IB PYP philosophy by encouraging students to be inquirers, thinkers, risk-takers, and open-minded learners who take ownership of their learning.

At Pease, we believe learning doesn't always have to look the same...and sometimes the most meaningful learning happens when students are given the freedom to follow their curiosity. 🌟

💙🐴 WHAT A GREAT FIRST DAY BACK, MUSTANGS! 🐴💙

It was SO good having our Mustangs back at Pease today! Despite a few first-day dismissal hiccups, every student made it home safely! Thank you, families, for your patience and support as we get back into our routines.

A few reminders for tomorrow:

🚶 WALKERS: Walker dismissal is intended for students who live within walking distance and are walking home. If you are meeting your child, please wait across the crosswalk on 22nd Street. For safety and emergency access, families may not gather or wait at the front entrance.

🚗 DRIVING TO PICK UP? Please use our car rider line! With this West Texas heat ☀️, you can stay cool in your vehicle while our team safely brings your Mustang to you.

📌 Check out the attached flyer for helpful Pease information and resources. Save it for easy access throughout the year!

Dismissal will get faster and smoother as our students learn their routines. Thank you for partnering with us to keep everyone safe!
