Ector County Health Department The ECHD provides services for Immunizations, Food, Sanitation, Water Quality, and More!

The Ector County Health Department is responsible for the development, integration and coordination of communicable disease control activities, environmental and consumer health protection programs, and public health promotion in Ector County. These community health services include the containment of vaccine preventable diseases, sexually transmitted diseases, tuberculosis and food-borne illnesse

s. Food service sanitation, environmental enforcement, water quality, waste water control, vector control, and the investigation of sanitation complaints are environmental health services performed by Ector County Health Department personnel. The Water Quality Program is responsible for the following activities:
• Reviewing the design of on-site sewage systems (OSSFs)
• Inspecting new OSSFs
• Inspecting public and semi-public swimming pools annually
• Educating swimming pool operators by conducting “Pool School” annually
• Investigating complaints
• Checking properties with new electrical connections for proper septic systems
• Interpreting Water Well Samples for homeowners
• Educating homeowners

🚨 Notice for Today, June 23 🚨

Due to the temporary closure of Ector County offices in honor of Lt. Isai Huerta, the Ector County Health Department Immunization Clinic will stop checking in patients at 9:00 a.m. today. Our doors will close at 10:00 a.m. to allow employees the opportunity to pay their respects if needed.

📚✏️ ¡La inscripción escolar abre el 1 de julio de 2026!
Padres y tutores, ahora es el momento perfecto para asegurarse de que las vacunas de sus hijos estén al día antes de que comience la inscripción.

📌 ECISD ha anunciado que los estudiantes que ingresan al 7.º grado deberán subir un registro de vacunas actualizado que muestre que recibieron:
✅ Tdap
✅ Meningocócica (MCV4)

📌 Los niños que ingresan al Kindergarten también deben asegurarse de tener todas las vacunas requeridas para la escuela antes del primer día de clases.

📚✏️ School Registration Opens July 1, 2026!

Parents, now is the perfect time to make sure your child's vaccines are up to date before registration begins.

📌 ECISD has announced that incoming 7th grade students must upload an updated immunization record showing they have received:
✅ Tdap
✅ Meningococcal (MCV4)

📌 Children entering Kindergarten should also ensure they have all required school vaccines before the first day of school.

💉 Need vaccines? The Ector County Health Department Immunization Program is here to help!

🎪 Back-to-School Immunization Clinics
We highly encourage PRE-REGISTRATION to help reduce wait times. Families are welcome to stop by now and pick up registration forms before clinic day.

📅 Regular Walk-In Clinic Hours:
• Monday: 8:00–11:00 AM & 1:00–3:00 PM
• Tuesday: 8:00–11:00 AM
• Wednesday: 1:00–3:00 PM
• Thursday: 1:00–3:00 PM

📋 Bring your child's shot record if available.

✅ TVFC (Children 18 & Under) Eligibility:
• No Insurance
• Medicaid
• Underinsured (insurance does not cover vaccines)
• American Indian/Alaska Native

✅ Adult Safety Net (ASN) Eligibility:
• Adults 19 years and older
• No Health Insurance
