Happy Principals Month to our very own Mrs. Sierra! 💙🐾
When Mrs. Sierra came to Gonzales, she believed in us before the numbers did. She set the bar high, showed up every single day, and reminded us that our kids were capable of so much more than a letter grade said about them.
And she was right. This past year Gonzales Elementary moved from a D to a high B, the biggest accountability jump our campus has seen in years. That didn't happen by accident. It happened because she pushed us, supported us, celebrated us, and never once let us forget why we do this work.
Mrs. Sierra, thank you for loving our kids like they're your own. Thank you for welcoming their families with open arms and for showing up for our community in big ways and small ones. Thank you for empowering our staff, trusting us, and giving us the room to grow. You see the best in every one of us and then help us become it.
Thank you for the late nights, the tough conversations, the hallway high-fives, and for making Gonzales a place where both kids and teachers want to be. We are so proud to call you our principal.
