As families begin preparing for the 2026-27 school year, please remember the following student health requirements:

🍎 Kindergarten students require:
• Physical
• Eye exam (may be completed during the physical)
• Immunizations or waiver

📚 Incoming 7th-grade students require:
• Physical
• Updated immunizations or waiver

🏈 Students participating in school sports require:
• Sports physical

🚚 Out-of-state transfer students require:
• Physical

Big News for OG Nation!

Ogallala Public Schools is excited to share two significant updates regarding the future of early childhood education in our community.

First, at the May Board of Education meeting, the board officially approved the name of our new early learning center: Tiny Trails Early Learning Center.

In addition, Ogallala Public Schools has been awarded a $310,000 Early Childhood Education Grant from the Nebraska Department of Education. With this award, committed funding for the Tiny Trails Early Learning program now totals $742,500 through local donations and grant money.

These investments reflect the community's commitment to expanding access to high-quality early childhood education for local families. The progress made over the past year has been possible through the support of donors, community partners, grant opportunities, and advocates who recognize the importance of early learning.

As planning and development continue, we look forward to welcoming our youngest learners to Tiny Trails Early Learning Center and the opportunities this program will create for children and families in Ogallala.

OPSD Surplus Sale is happening NOW until 2:00 (or gone)! Be sure to stop by Prairie View School, 801 East O Street, and the Armory/Kids Oasis/Tiny Trails Preschool, 601 West 9th Street.

OPSD will be hosting a Community Surplus Sale this Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Items that are no longer being used by the district will be available for purchase at low cost.

• Prairie View North Parking Lot
• Armory / Kids Oasis / Tiny Trails PreK Gym

Rather than sending usable items to storage or disposal, OPSD is excited to offer community members the opportunity to repurpose these items and give them a second life within our community. Items are not individually priced, and all prices are negotiable. Cash or check only. First come, first served.

What a season for our OG middle school track athletes! From broken records to state medals, this group gave us countless moments to celebrate. The hard work, determination, teamwork, and memories made along the way will not be forgotten.

This season saw multiple new school records set, state qualifiers representing OG Nation on the big stage, and incredible finishes at the state meet.
