We are excited to announce that our 2026 Summer Reading Program is here! This year's theme is “Unearth a Story". Our Summer Reading Program kicks-off on Thursday, May 28th and lasts till the end of July with a fun program each week! 🦖

Each program is free to the public and doesn’t require registration. The only event you will have to register for will be the Build-An-Animal Workshop and that registration won’t open till June 30th!

We will also be having our Summer Reading Challenge back this year along with a couple of other surprises! More details on those to come!

Join the KLPL Book Club! 📖
Each month our staff will pick a new book for the group to read and then discuss! Your local librarians will be there for some fun book talk!
Our first meeting will be on Thursday, May 21st at 5:30 PM. The library is also available to provide some copies, please contact us if you need help getting the book!

Today is the day! The Friends of the Library are having their huge Spring Book Sale today, Thursday, and Friday! Everything from cookbooks, to children's books, nonfiction, romance, new releases, and more! Most of the books are priced at $0.50 to $2.00. Supporting the Friends of the Library sale also helps support many library programs like our Summer Reading Program and our Adult Craft Classes! 📚

The library will be in attendance at Youth Summer Sign-up tomorrow! You'll get an exclusive sneak peak of this year's Summer Reading Program and get to sign up early for our Summer Reading challenge! We are excited to give you a glimpse into what we have planned for the summer. Come see us tomorrow at the Ogallala Auditorium anytime between 3:30 - 6:00 pm! 🦕📖
